Intense ruby red colour, with aromas of crunchy red fruit, cherry, plum and violets. Well-rounded on the palate with delicate spice flavours and structure from fine, subtle tannins. Sangiovese grapes, with the addition of small quantities of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the vineyards of the Poggio ai Mandorli estate, gives this robust wine its intense ruby red colour. Aromas of crunchy red fruit, red cherry, plum and hints of violet. This wine is well-rounded on the palate, with the delicate spice flavours from a short period of oak aging and structure from fine, subtle tannins. The wine pairs well with dishes of red meat, game and aged cheeses.
